The sower

from Parabolic by Richard Jensen

about

Matthew 13:1-23

lyrics

There once was a sower
Sowing seeds and some would not get to grow,
Birds would devour the ones
That fell on to the path below

Lord, take root, take root
Let me bear fruit

Some fell on rock
Had no depth, scorched and withered away
Some fell on thorns
Which grew and choked them into decay

Lord, take root, take root
Let me bear fruit

But the seed in the good soil
Is the one who understands
Bears fruit that never will spoil
And a yield that greatly expands
But the seed in the good soil
Is the one who understands

Lord, take root
Let me bear fruit
