Prodigal
04:14
|
|
||
A man had two sons, the youngest one said: 'I am going'
'Give me my share of property that is coming'
He soon went away, squandered his wealth in wild living
Fell into need, longed for pig's feed, he had nothing
'The servants of my father have abundance
Yet here I perish hungry and alone
I will arise and go back in repentance
And say that I have sinned, I'm not his son.'
I'm coming home...
I'm coming home...
But in the distance, you saw me
Before I could say I was wrong
In compassion, you ran straight towards me
Kissed me and embraced me as your son
Dressed in your robe
Shoes on my feet
A ring on my hand
The best food to eat
Dead but now living
Lacking for nothing
I thought I was going
But now I'm coming home...
I'm coming home...
I'm coming home...

Joy in heaven
04:05
|
|
||
Which one of you with one hundred sheep
Would leave ninety-nine and then try to seek
The only one that's gone?
But when that sheep is finally found
Rejoicing and gladness then will abound
Over only one.
Chorus:
There'll be more joy in heaven
Over one lost soul who is found
Than over ninety-nine
Who have been refined
An angelic joyful sound
Which one of you with ten coins of silver
Does not light a lamp and sweep and endeavour
When losing only one?
And when it is found, call friends and neighbours
Rejoicing abounds, forgetting the labours
Over only one.
You... relentlessly pursue

The sower
04:27
|
|
||
There once was a sower
Sowing seeds and some would not get to grow,
Birds would devour the ones
That fell on to the path below
Lord, take root, take root
Let me bear fruit
Some fell on rock
Had no depth, scorched and withered away
Some fell on thorns
Which grew and choked them into decay
Lord, take root, take root
Let me bear fruit
But the seed in the good soil
Is the one who understands
Bears fruit that never will spoil
And a yield that greatly expands
But the seed in the good soil
Is the one who understands
Lord, take root
Let me bear fruit

Tenants
05:07
|
|
||
There was a vineyard owner
To tenants he did lease
When time for fruit drew closer
His servants went to see
The tenants took the servants
Beat one and killed the rest
And when he sent more over
They died the same cruel death
He sent his son to see them
'They will respect this one'
But when the tenants saw him
They killed the Father's son
The stone that was rejected
Becomes the cornerstone
The Kingdom will be given
To those its fruit have grown

The kingdom
03:43
|
|
||
Like treasure in a field
Hidden then revealed and then covered
Selling all you have
To buy what you joyfully discovered
Such is the kingdom
Like searching for fine pearls
And finding one of greatest value
Selling all you have
To buy one so beautifully new
Such is the kingdom
Chorus
Of greatest worth in all the earth
The best is still to come
Our God will reign, forever remain
His is the kingdom
Like a grain of mustard seed
Grows into a tree in the garden
The kingdom of heaven
Will spread through the world like leaven
(Chorus)
Such is the kingdom

Samaritan
03:48
|
|
||
A man was travelling
Going from Jerusalem to Jericho
He fell among some thieves
They stripped and beat him
Nearly dead and all alone
A priest was going down that road
Passed on the other side
A Levite came along also
And did not break his stride
But the Samaritan
Came to him and when he saw, he had compassion
Bound up all his wounds
Tended to him, pouring oil and pouring wine on
Put him on his animal
Brought him to an inn
Paid for his recovery
And took care of him
Love the Lord with all your heart,
Soul and strength and mind
Love your neighbour as yourself
Show mercy and be kind
